HOME TROPICS
This project was an experiment in botanical preservation and video. It was an exercise in translation, an attempt to capture a living object – a dandelion plant, using digital-media and to reconstruct it in physical space using sculpture and video projections. Home Tropics was an investigation into the awkwardness of this transition and into the everyday redundancy of using digital media to construct an experience readily available just out the front door.
Created in 2018 during the Media Arts Residency at Video Pool.
